One of Grandma Lucy’s most popular Christmas Cookies.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Margarine
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Flour (sifted)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 and 1/2 cups Nuts (ground)
- Powdered Sugar
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2:
Cream margarine. Add granulated sugar gradually; cream well.
Step 3:
Add egg and vanilla. Beat until fluffy.
Step 4:
Stir together flour and salt; cut into creamed mixture. Add nuts and stir.
Step 5:
Shape into 2/3 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets 2 inches apart.
Step 6:
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool slightly; roll in powdered sugar. For easier handling mix day before and refrigerate.
