Red Wine-Shallot Sauce

To be used with the Sautéed Chicken Breast recipe or the Italian Baked Chicken Cutlets recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Red Wine (dry)
  • 4 Shallots (large, sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Raspberry Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Rosemary (chopped fresh, or 1/2 tsp dried)
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: 

In the hot drippings in the skillet used to sauté chicken, add the wine, shallots, honey, and vinegar. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring to loosen browned bits.

Step 2:

Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in seasonings. Cook for 2 minutes or until sauce is reduced and syrupy. Pour over the chicken.
