Mustard Maple Pork Glaze

By: Lou • In: Sauces, Rubs, Etc. • Cuisine: American

We make smoked or roasted pork loin fairly frequently.  While properly cooked pork loin is juicy and delicious on its own, we do like to make this glaze with it, as they pair so well together.   It is quick and easy to make (about 10 minutes), and since it is reduced, a little goes a long way.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 cup Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp Tyme (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Rosemary (chopped)
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1:

Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat, whisking until combined.

Step 2:

Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.  The glaze will reduce, thicken, and darken during this time.

Step 3:

Spoon a small amount of the glaze over slices of pork loin and enjoy!  Remember, the glaze is concentrated so be careful not to put on too much or it will overpower the flavor of the pork.
