I don’t remember having this when I was growing up. A year or so ago, we found a separate recipe for Monkey Bread and have made that a few times. While it was good, I think it is a little too sweet. As a result, I decided to combine the two recipes. I will follow-up with some comments after I try making this new combined recipe.
Ingredients
- 32 oz Pillsbury Country Style Biscuits (four 8-ounce packages)
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp Cinnamon
- 1 stick Butter
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar (dark, packed)
- Walnuts (optional, chopped)
- Raisins (optional)
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2:
Combine in a bowl 2/3 cup sugar and 2 Tbsp. cinnamon – set aside.
Step 3:
Melt together butter and 3/4 cup brown sugar and bring to a boil
Step 4:
Cut biscuits in half. Coat 2 cans of biscuits with cinnamon/sugar mixture and drop into a greased bundt pan.
Step 5:
Add nuts or raisins if desired.
Step 6:
Pour 1/2 of the melted mixture on the biscuits in the pan.
Step 7:
Add the rest of biscuits in the same manner. Pour the remainder of the melted mixture over the top.
Step 8:
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Remove from the pan after 5 minutes.
