An excellent dinner option either grilled or broiled!
Ingredients
- 2 to 2.5 lbs London Broil
For the marinade
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 4 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 4 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1.5 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Basil
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 2/3 cup Olive Oil
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Make the Marinade
In a bowl, whisk together marinade ingredients until combined well. Put London broil in a large re-sealable plastic bag and pour marinade over it. Seal bag, pressing out excess air, and set in a shallow dish. Place in the refrigerator and allow the meat to marinate for 8 hours. Turn bag over once or twice during the marinating process.
Step 2:
Remove meat from the marinade, discard the marinade, and pat the meat dry.
Step 3: IF GRILLING
Preheat grill. On an oiled rack set about 4-inches over glowing coals (or on High heat on a gas grill), grill the meat, turning each once, 9 to 10 minutes on each side, or until it registers 125 degrees, on a meat thermometer for medium-rare meat. A meat thermometer is recommended!
Step 4: IF BROILING
Preheat the broiler to High heat. Put the London Broil in a baking dish. Broil for 5 to 6 minutes and then flip the meat over and broil for 3 to 4 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 125 degrees for medium-rare meat. A meat thermometer is recommended!
Step 5: Allow the meat to rest
Transfer meat to a cutting board and let stand 10 minutes. Cut meat diagonally across the grain into thin slices.
