Garlic Bread

By: Lucy Romano • In: Bread • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 1 Italian Bread (French Bread can be substituted)
  • 1/2 cup Butter  (unsalted)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (very finely minced)
  • 1/4 cup Parsley (coarsely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2:

In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat until foamy. Add garlic and simmer 1 minute. Remove from heat and let steep for 1 minute. Add parsley and salt and stir to combine.

Step 3:

Slice bread lengthwise almost all the way through, leaving side uncut. Open the bread like a book and evenly brush or spoon the butter mixture over the bread.

Step 4:

Close bread and slice bread diagonally into 2 inch pieces, leaving the bread still intact at the back of the loaf.

Step 5:

Transfer bread to a baking sheet. Bake bread until heated through and crisp on the outside, about 10 minutes.
