Ingredients
Cake Batter
- 1 package Yellow Cake Mix
- 2/3 cup Canola Oil
- 4 Eggs (slightly beaten)
- 2/3 cup Milk
Crumbs
- 4 cups Flour
- 2/3 cup Brown Sugar
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 sticks Margarine
- 1 stick Butter
- Powdered Sugar (to dust on top)
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2:
Combine ingredients for the cake batter and beat for 4 minutes. Pour into an ungreased 18 x 12 x 1 inch or two 11 5/8 x 9 1/4 x 1 1/2 inch pan(s).
Step 3:
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.
Step 4:
To make the crumb topping, place the flour, sugars, cinnamon and vanilla in a large bowl. Melt the margarine and butter and pour over the dry ingredients. Mix with a fork or spoon. Don’t over mix or crumbs will get too small (mixture will be consistency of cookie dough).
Step 5:
With hands crumble mixture over cooled cake. Return to 350 degree oven for 20 minutes but don’t let crumb topping brown too fast.
Cool completely.
Step 6:
Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into 24 squares. This cake can be frozen.
