Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Butter (1 and 1/2 sticks)
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 3 cups Flour (sifted)
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 5 Eggs
  • 3 and 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2/3 cup Milk

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2:

Cream butter, cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, about 2 minutes for each egg.

Step 3:

Beat in sifted and combined dry ingredients alternately with the milk and vanilla.

Step 4:

Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan (10 inches) which as been lined on the bottom with waxed paper.

Step 5:

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a cake tester comes away clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn out on rack to cool.
