Ingredients

  • 3 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 2 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • dash Liquid Hot Pepper Seasoning
  • 6 oz Crab Meat (frozen crab meat, thawed, finely flaked and cartilage removed)
  • 3 tbsp Green Onions (thinly sliced)
  • 24 Wonton Wraps (square, also sold as wonton skins)
  • Canola Oil (for deep frying)

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1:

In small mixer bowl combine cream cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce. Beat till smooth. Stir in crab meat and onion.

Step 2:

To fill wontons, position wonton wrap/skin with one point toward you. Spoon 1 tsp. of filling just off center, onto wrap. Fold bottom point of wonton over the filling, tucking the point under the filling. Roll once to cover filling, leaving about 1 inch unrolled at the top of the wrap. Moisten one side of the wrap with water. Grasp each side of the wrap; bring together and overlap. Press firmly to seal. Repeat with remaining wraps and filling.

Step 3:

Fry wontons, a few at a time, in deep hot oil (365°) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or till golden. Drain on paper toweling. Serve warm.
