These cookies were always part of our Christmas Cookie tradition when I was growing up. I used to love to make them with my mother, and eat as much of the dough as I could get away with. Several years ago I found a cookie press kit on eBay and couldn’t resist purchasing it.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb Butter
- 1 cup Crisco
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 5 cups Flour
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2:
Cream butter, Crisco and sugar.
Step 3:
Add eggs, lemon juice and vanilla. Add flour.
Step 4:
Separate dough into bowls. Add food coloring as desired to make different colors.
Step 5:
Press cookies onto a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
