Chicken Parmesan Topping

By: Lou • In: Sauces, Rubs, Etc. • Cuisine: Italian

This recipe is a topping for the Italian Baked Chicken Cutlets recipe. It is a quick and easy way to make Chicken Parmesan.

Ingredients

  • Mozzarella Cheese (shredded or sliced)
  • Parmesan Cheese (grated, or Romano)
  • Pasta Sauce

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1:

Heat your pasta sauce in a saucepan.

Step 2:

Prepare and bake the Italian Baked Chicken Cutlets as you normally would, however bake them for 16 minutes instead of 17 minutes.

Step 3:

Remove the tray from the oven. Spread pasta sauce over the cutlets and add mozzarella cheese on top.  I recommend putting the toppings only on the cutlets you plan to eat at that time.  Leave the others as is so you can use them as leftovers in any number of ways.

Step 4:

Put the tray back in the oven for 1 more minute to finish cooking and let the cheese melt.

Step 5:

Remove the cutlets from the oven. Top with parmesan cheese (or Romano) and serve with pasta, or in a sub sandwich on fresh bread or rolls.
