Ingredients
Cake Batter
- 1/3 cup Crisco
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 cups Flour
- 3 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
Crumbs
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 and 1/3 cups Crisco
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 and 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Nutmeg
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2:
To make the cake batter, cream Crisco and sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients. Spread in a long baking plan (13×9).
Step 3:
To make the crumbs, cream brown sugar, granulated sugar and Crisco. Add the rest of the ingredients.
Step 4:
Take by the handful and make into crumbs. Sprinkle over the batter. There will be enough crumbs for at least 2 cakes – just refrigerate in plastic zip lock bag.
Step 5:
Bake cake at 375 degrees – 20-25 minutes.
