Won Tons

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb Ground Pork (lean)
  • 1/4 lb Shrimp (shelled and deveined)
  • 3 Green Onions
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp MSG (optional)
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp White Pepper
  • 2 Egg Whites (well beaten)
  • Wonton Wraps (square)

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: 

Using a food processor chop all of the ingredients (except the egg whites) together. Mix thoroughly after chopping.

Step 2:

Place a tsp. of filling in the middle of a won ton skin. Fold the dough diagonally from one corner to the other to form a triangle. Moisten the two contact surfaces of the triangle with egg white and press together to seal. Fold the two corners of the base of the triangle over, moisten with egg white and press together. May be frozen for future use.

Step 3:

Used for deep fried won tons or in Won Ton soup. Yield: Approximately 40 won tons.
