Chicken alla Marsala

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 and 1/2 lbs Chicken Breast (boneless, skinless chicken breast halves)
  • 1 cup Marsala Wine (dry)
  • 8 oz Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 8 oz Mushroom Gravy
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • Flour
  • Canola Oil
  • Butter

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: 

Place each cutlet between pieces of wax paper and pound until thin.

Step 2:

Place the flour, salt, and pepper, in a large plate or on a piece of waxed paper. Mix the ingredients well.

Step 3:

Dredge the chicken cutlets in the flour mixture. Sauté the cutlets in butter-oil combination until lightly brown on both sides. Remove the cutlets and set aside.

Step 4:

In the same pan sauté the mushrooms and then add the Marsala. Sauté an additional minute or two and then add the gravy.

Step 5:

Cook until all ingredients are hot. Pour over the cutlets.
