1/2 cup Brown Sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. |

Blend Crisco, salt and vanilla; Add sugar gradually and cream well. |

Add egg and beat well. |

Sift baking power with flour and add to creamed mixture alternately with pineapple juice mixing well. |

Sprinkle brown sugar on the bottom of a baking dish and place pineapple slices on top of the sugar. Pour batter over the pineapple slices and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. |
