1 and 1/4 cups Brown Sugarfirmly packed

1 and 3/4 cups Flourall purpose flour

1 tsp Baking Soda

2 and 1/2 cups Quaker Oatsquick or old fashioned

12 oz Semi-sweet Chocolate Chipsabout 2 cups

1 cup Nutsoptional, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. |

Beat margarine and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well. |

Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. |

Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well. |

Drop by rounded measuring tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 - 13 minutes for a crisp cookie. |

Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen. |
