1 heaping tbsp Minced Garlic

1/2 cup Basil

1/8 cup Oregano

1 tbsp Sugar

pinch Salt

Open all of the cans and empty the contents of each of the cans of puree into a large pot. Take each empty can of puree and fill it ¾ of the way with cold water. Swish the water while filling to get as much of the puree as possible from the sides and bottom of the can. Pour the water into your pot. Empty the cans of tomato paste into the pot. |

Optionally add cooked meatballs, sausage and/or chunks of beef to sauce and stir. Continue cooking the sauce at low boil for about 90 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes to prevent sauce from burning onto the bottom of the pot. When sauce is cooked shut off heat and allow it to cool. Separate it into containers to freeze if desired. |
